221 The Cherokee

Ashok is annoyed that Lyranna is getting on so well with George.

The USS Cherokee, damaged in a battle against the Dominion stops by New Lhasa for shore leave.

Loras Veltr'a returns. Horah-Morash reveals that the Tekindus shipyard has been secretly hauled into the sector and restationed near a distant moon of the New Lhasa system.

M'Kress' and Garadan's teams succeed in opening the ancient portal. They work to identify the other side before moving further.

Loras turns in his reports and is congratulated for his role in the strategic withdrawal from the Tekindus system. George and Lyranna finally end their mutual suspicion.

M'Kress is told of her new appointment. She is being moved to the deputy science officer position on the Cherokee.

The world on the other side of the gate is identified as the same one the initial Jem Had'ar incursion came through. And O'Reilley left through. Dominion forces and the native population are detected through the gate. There is an attempt to survey the planet & make contact with O'Reilley. The gate is closed when the Jem Had'ar move a large bomb onto the other side.
